Special Olympics requires all volunteers to complete an online Coach/Volunteer Application as well as completing an online Coach/Volunteer Orientation. Volunteer Coordinator, Bryan Collins, will provide details regarding the completion of both the application and orientation. - Special Olympics of Decatur County would not exist today - and could not have been created - without the time, energy, commitment and enthusiasm of the Special Olympics volunteers. Special Olympics of Decatur County relies on volunteers at all levels of the movement to ensure that every athlete is offered a quality sports training and competition experience.
Our volunteer pool is dedicated and diverse. Volunteers include civic and fraternal groups, high school and college students, amateur and professional athletes, business executives, Special Olympics athletes, family members, sports officials, coaches, teachers, retirees and corporate groups.
Special Olympics of Decatur County volunteers can get involved at the local, area or state level. Some volunteers are involved a few hours a year, while others work several hours a week. Every volunteer can find a niche within special Olympics Indiana.
